19 students of Ogun school score above 300 in 2025 UTME

No fewer than 19 students of OTA TOTAL ACADEMY, Sango Otta, Ogun State scored at least 300 out of 400 maximum marks in the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

The management of the school disclosed this in a posted on its Facebook page celebrating the exploits of their students.

It is observed that in the last four years, the school has been consistent in producing at least 15 students annually with 300 and above UTME scores.

In 2022, 19 students scored between 300 and 339. The same number—19 students—scored between 300 and 351 in 2023. Then, in 2024, the count dropped slightly, with 15 students achieving scores between 300 and 337.

Interestingly, 2025 saw a repeat of the 2022 and 2023 trends, with another 19 students scoring between 300 and 361

A breakdown of the 2025 result showed that the student who got the highest score was Muhammed Abiodun. He had 631. He is followed by Mercy Shasanmi with 351, and Hussein Sulaimon who sored 343.

Also, two brilliant students, Medinat Bamigboye and Faheezat Adesina got 325 each. While Temiloluwa scored 324 and Mariam Kehinde scored 306.

IntelRegion reports that the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) released the 2025 UTME result on Friday.

The UTME is an annual entrance examination for candidates seeking admission into Nigerian universities, polytechnics and colleges of education.

This year, over two million candidates registered for the computer-based examination and over 1.94 million sat the examination held between 24 April and 5 May.

The board revealed that about 1.5 million candidates scored below 200—one of the lowest performances in recent years.

A breakdown of the results shows 4,756 candidates scored 320 and above while 12,414 candidates scored 300 and above

While a total of 24,535 candidates scored less than 100 marks.
