The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the House of Representatives, Mr. Clement Jimbo, has pledged to bring development down to the grassroots if elected in this year’s polls.
Jimbo who disclosed this to newsmen in his campaign office in Abak LGA on Thursday is contesting to represent Abak/Etim Ekpo/Ika federal constituency in the Green Chambers.
He stated that his ambition is a collective resolve of the constituents who were yearning for a good and effective representation at the National Assembly.
“What my constituents are yearning for is leadership with content, capacity, and credibility and I fit into their yearnings.
“My mission in the 10th Assembly is to collaborate and unbundle many of the laws that the 9th has already put in place for the benefit of our people. For instance, I will simplify the Petroleum Industrial Act as passed into law to the understanding of my people for them to benefit from it.
“Everything that is discussed in Nigeria at the national assembly which is going to affect the people of Abak, Etim Ekpo and Ika federal constituency and which has to be solicited for, I will sit down and dialogue with the people and then take it the hallow chambers.”
He promised to take prompt responsibility on issues of the welfare of his constituents as it borders on the federal government of Nigeria in the Civil Service.
Jimbo assured that all the rights and privileges meant for his constituency will be shared equally without any partiality.
The candidate commended the 10th assembly for giving state governors the powers to generate and distribute electricity although to some specific areas as against what used to be, adding that he will contribute his quota to make electricity available to everyone.
He said he will ensure clean water supply, good road networks, and robust transformation in the federal constituency, calling on the electorates to him into the office to enjoy the dividends of democracy, practically.
