The National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ambassador Umar Iliya Damagum, on Thursday night, visited former Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Professor Isa Ali Pantami, at his Abuja residence.
Although details of their meeting remain undisclosed, the visit comes amid ongoing political talks ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Pantami, a former minister under the Buhari administration, has in recent weeks drawn attention following his involvement in high-level political consultations. He was among notable figures who attended a meeting of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) last month, alongside former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai, former Senate President David Mark, former Sokoto State Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, and ex-Kwara State Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed, a close ally of Bukola Saraki.
In addition, both Atiku and former Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi have separately visited Pantami at his Abuja home.
