“His second term will be more impactful as we move past the initial teething stages and the dividends of these reforms become visible to all Nigerians.”
On security, the group called on all citizens to make security a collective responsibility.
According to it, “See Something, Say Something” must become the nation’s culture.
It added: “Security is not the duty of government alone. We, as a people, must take it seriously by providing timely information, supporting law enforcement, and discouraging acts that threaten peace and order.”
On INEC’s Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) and Grassroots Mobilisation, the group said: “To ensure a landslide victory for PBAT and the APC in 2027, we charge the party at all levels to immediately mobilise all ward chairmen and party structures to go to the grassroots and register new voters in the ongoing INEC CVR exercise.
“Lagos must impress Asiwaju with our numbers. The real election is won at the polling unit through massive voter registration and turnout.
“Let every ward, every street, every compound be covered.
“On Inter-Arm Collaboration,
we charge the Senate under the leadership of Senate President Godswill Akpabio to maintain a robust and productive working relationship with the Presidency.
“Unity among arms of government is critical to delivering the Renewed Hope Agenda to Nigerians.
“We urge the Judiciary too to be the Last Hope of the common man.”
The Progressives Group congratulated all APC candidates, both new and returning, elected into the National and State Assemblies.
It added: “We specially congratulate our Deputy Governor, H.E. Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, and his Deputy, Mrs. Damilola Sonayon James, and wish them a successful and impactful tenure in office.
“We also use this medium to congratulate our Director-General for the Hamzat Governorship Campaign, Senator Musiliu Obanikoro, on his leadership.
“We have no doubt that under his direction, Lagos APC will deliver victory.”
The group implored all APC aspirants who did not emerge this time to remain calm and loyal to the party.
It maintained that there is always another time, adding, “We urge them to work for the party and not bring it down.
“APC’s strength is in unity, and together we will achieve more for Lagos and Nigeria.
“We charge the good people of Lagos and the voting electorate to come out en masse in 2027 and vote APC again.
“This will ensure Lagos continues to enjoy the dividends of democracy and progressive governance it is known for.
“We urge the party at the state and all levels to make it a duty to sell the APC brand and its manifesto to the people across every part of the state.
“Let us communicate our vision clearly and assure Lagosians and indeed Nigerians of a better future through continuous support for our presidential and governorship candidates and all other party representatives.
“Together, we will build a stronger Nigeria and a greater Lagos.
“Long Live The Progressives Group! Long Live Lagos State!!
“Long Live the Federal Republic of Nigeria!!!”
