Veteran Nigerian musician Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Face or 2Baba, has finally responded to his mother’s claim that he was kidnapped.
His reaction came a few weeks after his mother in a controversial video on social media, alleged that the singer was missing and kidnapped without trace.
Following her claims, the Idibia family filed a formal petition to the Department of State Services, declaring the music icon missing.
The petition, dated February 7 and signed by the family lawyer, Wilson Anuge, stated that 2Face/2Baba had not been seen since February 10, 2025.
According to the document, he had left home in his loungewear for a routine walk and never returned.
The singer has however poked fun at the allegations while performing at a recent comedy show.
Speaking during his performance at a recent comedy show which started trending on Sunday, 2Face/2Baba sarcastically said, “Allegedly I have been missing. Allegedly, I have been kidnapped. So, as we come to the Acapella show, this show is to generate money for the kidnappers to release me”.
It would be recalled that the singer had been seen out and about in recent weeks, most notably in the company of his new flame, Natasha Osawaru.
The pair have made multiple public appearances since 2Face/2Baba was declared missing.
Most recently, 2Face/2Baba and Natasha, who is the Deputy Majority Leader of the Edo State House of Assembly and represents the Egor Constituency, were spotted at the Edo State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal in Abuja.
