Victor Osimhen’s Galatasaray lost to Ajax in the UEFA Europa League last season…
Super Eagles and Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen has drawn praise from Ajax and Dutch defender Youri Baas, Soccernet.ng reports.
Baas featured for the Dutch side last season when his side came out on top against Galatasaray in the Europa League last season.
Both sides will lock horns at the Johan Cruijff Arena tonight, and the 22-year-old defender praised Osimhen, largely based on his performance from when they last met.

Baas speaks highly of Victor Osimhen
In an interview with Voetbal International, the former NEC Nijmegen defender recalled his experience with the one-time CAF Player of the Year.
“I’ve had a lot of good strikers in front of me, but if you ask me who was the best, I think Victor Osimhen of Galatasaray. That’s a really great striker.
“Also, a nice story: I asked him for his shirt after the game. Only that things were different, and in the end, he had already given him away.

“But it turned out, I didn’t know that he’s good friends with Bertrand Traoré. Or at least, they know each other well.
“A few weeks after that game, he sent a shirt to Bertrand with the message: You have to give it to him, because I promised.’
“So he’s a super striker, a superstar, but this proves again that it’s just a really good guy.
“That was really nice. Did I send a shirt back? Haha, no, not that. But if he wants to, I’m definitely going to do that,” he concluded.
Victor Osimhen can extend his consecutive European goalscoring run to eight games if he scores against Ajax tonight.
Should that happen, he’ll be one behind Barcelona striker, Robert Lewandowski, who scored in nine consecutive European games.
