Abdullahi Bashir Haske, the owner of AA & R Investment Group, who was arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over allegations of fraud has jumped bail and travelled out of the country, NAIJAONPOINT reports.

Haske was earlier arrested and grilled by the EFCC over alleged shady deals with top officials of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL).

Haske, who is into oil and aviation, was initially taken into custody following investigations into a web of shell companies, offshore accounts, and private jet operations allegedly used to move illicit funds.

EFCC sources revealed that the probe focused on suspicious financial flows, bulk cash transfers, and questionable contracts linked to NNPC EnServe Ltd., a subsidiary under NNPCL’s Upstream Directorate.

Despite being granted bail, Haske reportedly jumped bail shortly after his release, prompting the EFCC to declare him wanted. The anti-graft agency has since intensified its efforts to track him down, warning that anyone aiding his escape will face prosecution.

According to a public notice by the EFCC, Haske, aged 38, was last known to reside at No. 6 Mosley Road, Ikoyi, and 952/953 Idejo Street, Victoria Island, Lagos State.

The agency appealed to Nigerians to assist in locating him by reaching out to any of its offices across the country, including Ibadan, Uyo, Sokoto, Maiduguri, Benin, Makurdi, Kaduna, Ilorin, Enugu, Kano, Lagos, Gombe, Port Harcourt, and Abuja.

The commission added that information could also be shared through its dedicated telephone line and official email address.

He is married to a daughter of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, a prominent Nigerian opposition leader.
