Abuja records second rain in 2025

Abuja

THE Federal Capital Territory (FCT) has experienced its second rainfall of 2025

The rain, ranging from a light shower to a heavy downpour, lasted for about an hour yesterday evening and was observed in Utako, Jabi, and surrounding areas.

This follows the brief drizzle recorded on Saturday, February 22, 2025, along Airport Road and in Life Camp, which lasted an average of 20 seconds.

The recent rainfall occurred ahead of the officially recognized start of the rainy season in Nigeria.

In Abuja, the rainy season typically begins in late March or early April and lasts until October or November.
