Italian Serie A club AC Milan are plotting a transfer for Sassuolo winger Armand Laurienté as a potential replacement for Super Eagles star Samuel Chukwueze, Soccernet.ng reports.
In recent months, Chukwueze’s future has been in the balance as AC Milan look set to move him on as he is now considered surplus to requirements. The Super Eagles star has been relegated to being a regular bench warmer since coach Sergio Conceicao took over at the club.
Chukwueze has been linked with clubs in England, Spain, and Saudi Arabia. And Fulham are known to be one of his admirers. They even almost signed him during the January winter transfer window.

Meanwhile, the Rossoneri have already planning to get a replacement. According to Milan reports, the club have started making moves to sign Lauriente in the summer.
The 26-year-old Frenchman has contributed 17 goals and six assists in 30 Serie B games for Sassuolo. His performances have been key in the club’s promotion to the Serie A this season.

Lauriente will arrive at a good price for AC Milan, as Sassuolo will not demand more that €20 million for him.
AC Milan are also expected to get around €20 million for Chukwueze if he leaves in the transfer. The Super Eagles star will hope to get a good move in the summer and enjoy increased game time.
