“Today, I celebrate my 51st birthday with a heart full of gratitude and reflection. As I embrace this new year of life, I want to take a moment to honour the memories of those we’ve recently lost: Bukky Coker, Gbenga Adenowo, and Omolara Obatolu.
In their memory, I dedicate this special day to them, praying for comfort and strength for their families during this difficult time.
I am truly grateful for the gift of life and the love of my family and friends. Here’s to cherishing every moment and holding our loved ones even closer.

Last year, Desmond had tendered a heartfelt apology after a fan expressed how he felt about the actor. The fan said that ever since he spoke against Nigerian youths, he gets angry anytime he sees Desmond’s post.
Recall that the politician, in 2020, during the nationwide End SARS protest, spoke against the youths and also pushed for a bill to regulate and control speech on social media at the Lagos State House of Assembly.
During an interview with TVC, Desmond apologised to the youths while noting that he had made his speech out of emotion. He also said the hatred he had received thus far was too much and advised that everyone spread love.
Lagos youths who weren’t appeased by his apology had vowed to deal with him by ensuring he lost the Lagos State House of Assembly Surulere Constituency. In addition to their grudges against him, they lamented that since Desmond was sworn into office, he hadn’t produced any positive outcomes. As such, the youths had thrown their weight behind the Labour Party’s candidate and actor, Olumide Oworu, who unfortunately lost the election.
To appease them, Elliot had commissioned the installation of high-capacity transformers in Surulere.
