Nollywood actress Eniola Iyiola, better known as Badira Badia, has proven how good a friend she is with her sweet gesture towards her late colleague, Tope Osoba.
The Yoruba actress, in a video she shared online following the late actress’ Candlelight service, had taken to the streets to reach out to the less privileged.
She gave out biscuits, soap, and other items in honour of her late colleague.
Kemi Filani reported on Wednesday, August 5th, that the sad news of her death was announced. The cause of her death remains unknown as reports claimed that she died while enroute to the hospital.
Reacting to the news of her death, Habibat Jinad shared her last conversation with the actress, revealing that she prayed with her for over 8 minutes. The movie star expressed disbelief at her death, noting how she can’t question God.
Foluke Daramola had shared a photo online breaking down over Tope’s death. Foluke said it finally dawned on her that the actress was dead and she couldn’t stop crying.
Setting the record straight on her death, Alesh Sanni, made it known that she didn’t die of cancer. He admonished the public to allow her people to grieve and post how they choose to.
On Tuesday, August 11th, a candlelight service was held for the actress, with a few of her colleagues in attendance. The likes of Badira Badia, Toyosi Adesanya, Jigan Babaoja, Alesh Sanni, and Foluke Daramola were spotted at the event. Top actors like Odunlade Adekola, Femi Adebayo, Faithia Williams, and others were absent.
While giving a speech at the event, Toyosi Adesanya, alleged that many were beefing the late actress because she didn’t belong to their association.
While speaking at the late actress’ candlelight service, Foluke Daramola said Tope didn’t die of breast cancer, as the lump had been removed. Foluke added that what caused her death was something different, and an investigation is ongoing.
Following her demise, several controversies have trailed her death.
Her fiancé, Prophet Itunu Onadeko, alleged that the actress died at a police station in Ikorodu, Lagos State. He also dismissed several allegations surrounding the actress’ final days, including claims that she was poisoned and maltreated before her death.
Shortly before she passed away, Temitope, had, dropped a voice note saying one Prophetess Kehinde Osoba, should come and carry her dead body so she can be given a befitting burial.
Yomi Fabiyi, in a press release, had called for ...ponement of Temitope’s burial following the controversies surrounding her death. He noted that the actress left marks and traces that warrant investigation, and that one shouldn’t be in a hurry to bury her.
