Olisa Judith Chinonye, better known as RealJudy, is a Nigerian content creator, actress, and businesswoman rapidly gaining recognition.
The Imo State native has been steadily climbing the ladder of the entertainment industry, captivating audiences with her unique personality and talent.
In an exclusive interview with Naijatimes, RealJudy delved into her journey, the challenges she’s encountered, and her aspirations for the future.
RealJudy, a self-proclaimed ambitious and industrious individual, has faced her fair share of hurdles in the entertainment world. She discussed the negative comments she’s received, particularly about her accent, and how she’s learned to embrace them as a source of amusement rather than letting them deter her.
“I’m a very hard nut to crack,” she said. “I’ve seen a lot. Especially about my accent, a lot of people think I talk like that. But I laugh it off. It’s very entertaining, seeing people attack me for things I’m not.”
The light skinned rising star says she draws inspiration from her family background and her innate desire to excel. She’s passionate about the entertainment industry and believes she hasn’t even scratched the surface of her potential.
However, she acknowledged the significant challenges faced by female content creators in Nigeria, particularly sexual harassment. She shared her experiences with harassment from both industry colleagues and those outside the industry, emphasizing the need for vigilance and discernment.
“The space is actually very toxic, everybody is selfish,” she said. “You just have to be smart enough to hold your ground in the industry.”
When asked about her ideal partner, RealJudy expressed her desire for a supportive and understanding man who can complement her busy lifestyle. She admitted to having a few suitors but clarified that she’s currently single and open to the right person.
“I want a low-key man who supports me and is doing well for himself,” she explained. “He must be fully supportive. He must be an ‘Odogwu’, intelligent and caring.”
