The TV and radio star announced in October that she had been diagnosed with bowel cancer before having the operation, revealing it had ‘all happened so quickly’.

Taking to Instagram, she documented her first early start in a few weeks as she prepared to head into the studio for a Saturday morning show.

Starting with the all-important task of boiling the kettle for a cup of tea just after 4:30am, the former I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! campmate then delightedly showed off the customised stoma bag her partner Kate had made for her, complete with the BBC Radio 1 logo.

‘You are so amazing Katie!’ the 42-year-old declared, before admitting: ‘I can’t believe it! I’m going to be back on Radio 1! I can’t believe it it’s like a month since I had my surgery, and they’re allowing me to come back, which I think Kate is secretly happy about because I need to let that energy out somewhere!’

While she documented the new part of getting ready, revealing parts of her morning stoma care routine which she’s named ‘Audrey’ with the help of her girlfriend, the DJ shared: ‘I’m going to try and do all my crying now so I don’t cry like a big baby later on, on the radio. But I’m dead excited!’

Adele also shared a picture of herself from the studio shortly after 7am on Twitter, writing: ‘And we’re off! I’ve missed you so much. Please come & join us Saturday crew.’

In a nod to her recovery, she wrote: ‘*ps. It’s definitely a ‘sit down’ show today xx [sic]’

Friends and colleagues celebrated her return with her, including fellow BBC radio DJ Rylan Clark-Neal, who commented: ‘Welcome back beautiful x.’

Earlier on in her recovery, Adele had admitted to ‘feeling a bit low’ after a tough day in her healing journey.

Sharing her feelings on Instagram, she posted: ‘Bit of a bad night for me last night. Feeling a bit low after nipping to the shops with Kate.

‘Not as mobile as I used to be, had someone bang into me and then got upset that I was slow.

‘I know everyone’s going through their own struggles but please try and look out for each other today. We can’t always see what people are dealing with.’

She added: ‘Have an amazing day & I’ll go for a good walk to get my spirits back up.’

Maynard reports that a six-month loan has been agreed upon between Valencia and Spurs. However, Tanguy Ndombele’s preference is to join Mauricio Pochettino’s PSG in France.

La Liga side Valencia have agreed to a Tanguy Ndombele loan deal with Tottenham Hotspur, Julien Maynard reports.

The former Lyon midfielder favours a move to Paris Saint-Germain but with the transfer deadline getting closer and closer, he may have to make a decision.

Valencia are tenth in La Liga and are looking for new life in their midfield to help bridge the seven-point gap between them and the top four places. The Spanish side have been underperforming for some time having finished 13th last season.

Ndombele has featured very little since Antonio Conte’s appointment as Tottenham manager and it’s pretty clear that an exit from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is on the cards for the 25-year-old Frenchman.

Capped seven times by France, Ndombele’s Spurs career has always been under the spotlight. A signing they hoped would signal the beginning of a new era of success following a Champions League final loss to Liverpool. That never came to fruition and the weight has always been on his shoulders.

His lack of success under demanding managers like Jose Mourinho and Antonio Conte speaks for itself and maybe it’s time Ndombele, who started his senior career with Amiens, had a fresh start.

He is undoubtedly a player with talent and will look to get his career back on the road in the coming months.

Ndombele played 91 games for Tottenham and a loan deal means he might not have made his last appearance, though it’s extremely likely he has. In that time he contributed to 19 goals, scoring ten and assisting nine.
