Italian Serie A giants are planning to offer Atalanta Douglas Luiz plus €13 million for the services of Super Eagles striker Ademola Lookman, Soccernet.ng reports.

In recent weeks, Nigerian forward Lookman has been heavily linked with a transfer to Juventus. The 27-year-old forward joined Atalanta in 2022, and he has impressed massively.

Lookman has registered 46 goals and 25 assists for La Dea in 106 appearances across all competitions. However, Europe really took notice of him after his hat-trick in the final of the Europa League last season.

He could have left last summer, with top clubs like Manchester United, Arsenal, and PSG linked with him. However, Atalanta refused to let him leave.

Lookman has continued to produce top displays this season, and the speculations haven’t reduced. In the last two weeks, talks of a possible transfer to Juventus have dominated Italian football.

In a recent development, Dire Giovani reports that Juve plans to offer Atalanta Douglas Luiz plus €13 million for Lookman’s services at the end of the campaign.

It is unknown whether Atalanta would accept the deal, as they have enough cover in midfield except any of their best legs leave in the summer. However, La Dea would likely prefer their €55 million valuation in cash instead of another player.

Moreover, Luiz has yet to justify the €51 paid for his services last summer. So, La Dea would be skeptical about taking him on.

Ademola Lookman has a contract that runs until 2026, but there is an option for a one-year extension. However, it is unlikely that the Super Eagles star will choose to renew his contract.

Due to his contract situation, Atalanta are in a tight corner. They have to sell Lookman this summer if he refuses to sign an extension soon.

On Transfermarkt, the Nigerian forward is valued at €55 million, but Atalanta could demand more. Lookman would prefer a transfer to the Premier League, as he grew up and started his career in England.
