According To NewsVista Reporter, the Federal Government has officially resumed work on the long abandoned Maiduguri to Monguno road in Borno State after eight years of delay caused mainly by insecurity.

The Federal Ministry of Works confirmed on Wednesday that rehabilitation on the 105.6 kilometre road has restarted following security assurances from the Office of the National Security Adviser and the Nigerian military.

The road project was first awarded on July 3 2018 to QUMEVS Nigeria Limited at N21.7 billion but has now been revised to N28.35 billion after major design upgrades.

Funding is coming from the 2025 Appropriation and Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited under the tax credit scheme. A detailed explanation video on ‘Villagers in Shock as Man Disguised as Schoolgirl Sleeps in Same Room with Child’ has been published on NewsVista.

Officials revealed that only 5.85 kilometres have been completed so far due to attacks logistics challenges and long distance movement of materials. The project is currently 5.46 percent completed and is expected to be finished by June 10 2028.

The government also flagged off the Kaga to Gubio road to boost rural farming and trade.
