Nigeria’s airline, Air Peace, has announced plans to transition all its regional operations from night-time services to daytime flights, effective February 2, 2026.
The airline said the move was aimed at improving passenger convenience, operational reliability and regional connectivity, while offering more competitive flight schedules that align with domestic, regional and long-haul departures.
Naijaonpoint reports that in a statement on Monday, the airline explained that the daytime operations would enhance the overall travel experience for passengers across West and Central Africa.
Spokesperson for Air Peace, Efe Osifo-Whiskey, said the decision was part of the airline’s broader strategy to strengthen its regional network and improve on-time performance.
“The transition to daytime regional operations will enhance passenger comfort and travel experience, improve schedule reliability and on-time performance, provide stronger connectivity to night-time long-haul departures, and support business, government, and leisure travel across West and Central Africa,” Osifo-Whiskey said.
According to the airline, flights on the Lagos-Abidjan-DakarBanjul-Dakar-Abidjan-Lagos route will operate every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
Osifo-Whiskey explained that the service would depart Lagos at 7:00 am and return at 9:40 pm on the same days.
She added that services on the Lagos-Accra-Roberts International Airport (Monrovia)-Freetown-Roberts International-Accra-Lagos route would operate Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, leaving Lagos at 8:00am and arriving back at 7:25pm.
In addition, the airline will operate daily Lagos-Accra-Lagos flights, with morning departures at 7:00 am, complemented by additional evening frequencies on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.
Air Peace said the revised timetable would provide passengers with better connections to night-time long-haul departures, while also supporting trade, tourism and mobility within the region.
The airline noted that the shift would further position it competitively against other regional and international carriers operating from Lagos.
“This optimized schedule gives Air Peace a strong competitive advantage over both regional and international carriers operating from Lagos, reinforcing its role as a key enabler of intra-African trade, tourism, and mobility,” the spokesperson added.
With the introduction of the daytime regional schedule, Air Peace said it remains committed to expanding its footprint across Africa while prioritising safety, reliability and passenger comfort.
The airline added that the move aligns with its long-term goal of strengthening Nigeria’s position as a major aviation hub in West Africa.
