The Governor of Ondo State, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has approved the confirmation and appointment of 32 officers as Permanent Secretaries in the state civil service.
The appointments were announced on Monday in a statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Ebenezer Adeniyan, and posted on the state’s official 𝕏 handle.
Naijaonpoint reports that those appointed include Mrs Tayo Ogundare, Mrs Morayo Bayo-Philip, Adeyemi Sule, Mrs Olufunso Tunji-Omoniyi, Olanrewaju Abiodun, Tope Lebile, Stephen Aworere, Omotayo Akeju, Olufemi Moyinolorun, Olakunle Ajibade, Mrs Oluwakemi Akinyemi and Bamidele Daisi.
Others are Akinluyi Omotola, Olumide Kinga, Mrs Ope Adetoye, Olusiji Olatunji, Mrs Oluseyi Odusola, Mrs Funke Adelayi, Dr Akindele Ige, Olanrewaju Akarakiri, Dr Mrs Abike Ilawole, Tpl Abimbola Tofowomo and Kolawole Kayode.
Also confirmed as Permanent Secretaries are Dr Peter Akingbade, Ayodeji Ogudare, Adeduro Akinbola, Ibidapo Ojo, Olusegun Orisabinone, Surv Idowu Owolabi, Adeoye O. Atibioke, Mrs Toyin Awotoye and Ayodeji Ayeku.
In addition, the governor confirmed key appointments into statutory positions.
Olusola Sunday Ajayi was named Statistician-General, while Dr Charles Tunde Ojuolape was appointed Auditor-General for Local Governments, subject to clearance by the Ondo State House of Assembly.
According to the statement, the appointments take effect from February 1, 2026.
“The confirmation and appointments take effect from 1st February, 2026.
“The swearing-in ceremony for the newly appointed officers will be held on a date to be announced later,” the statement added.
The development forms part of the administration’s ongoing efforts to reposition the state civil service for improved efficiency and service delivery.
It also follows earlier reforms and support initiatives, including the distribution of operational vehicles to previous batches of Permanent Secretaries.
