The National Association of Osun State Students (NAOSS) has elected Ajibola Lateef Folajimmy as its president.
According to reports, Ajibola is the first Osogbo indigene to be elected president of the association in its history.
The announcement was contained in a statement made available to Amiloaded on Monday by the National Association of Osun State Students Independent Electoral Committee (NAOSSIEC), signed by its Chairman, Bello Yusuf Adewale, and the Public Relations Officer, Adedamola Akerele.
Part of the statement reads, “Following the conclusion of voting, counting, and verification of results, the Independent Electoral Committee hereby declares the following candidates as duly elected officers of the National Association of Osun State Students (NAOSS):
“Ajibola Lateef Folajimmy (President), Olayiwola Quadri Adeleke (Vice President I), Aluko Oluwatosin Samuel (Vice President II), Olayinka Suliyat Omobolaji (Vice President III), Ajewole Peter Oluwatosin (General Secretary), Oyenpemi Ayuba Adewale (Assistant General Secretary), Kareem Ajibola Fuhad (Public Relations Officer I (P.R.O I)), Alaba Samuel Oluwagbotemi (Public Relations Officer II), Faniran Adeyemi Samuel (Welfare Officer I), Sanusi Abdullateef Olalekan (Welfare Officer II), Popoola Quadri Ayobami (Financial Secretary), Muideen Waris Gbolahan (Social Director), Oni Oluwatobi Titus (Sports Director)
“The above-named candidates, having satisfied all constitutional and electoral requirements, are hereby recognized as the legitimate, duly elected and Sworn in officers of the National Association of Osun State Students (NAOSS).
“NAOSSIEC congratulates all elected officers and appreciates all aspirants, members, and stakeholders for their maturity, cooperation, and commitment to the democratic process. The successful conduct of this election further affirms NAOSS’s dedication to accountable leadership, unity, and constitutional governance.”
