Super Eagles striker Akor Adams has expressed disappointment following Sevilla’s loss to fierce rivals Real Betis on Sunday, Soccernet.ng reports.
Adams led the line for Sevilla when they welcomed their La Liga rivals Betis to the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán.
It was a game that could have gone either way, given the quality of the teams and Sevilla’s home advantage.
However, it was the visitors who emerged victorious after 90 minutes, courtesy of goals from Pablo Fornals and Sergi Altimira.
Adams played the entire 90 minutes and registered just two goal attempts. He had a big chance to score in the 78th minute after rounding the Betis goalkeeper, but his effort which seemed destined to be a goal, was blocked.

The result leaves Sevilla 13th on the La Liga table, with just 16 points after 14 games. The loss was Los Nervionenses’ eighth defeat of the campaign. What made it even worse was that it came in front of their home fans.
Akor Adams Declares That He is Unhappy
Following Sevilla’s 2-0 loss to Betis, Super Eagles striker Akor Adams admitted that he was unhappy with the outcome of the game and stressed that he and his teammates need to work harder.

“I’m not happy. It’s not just the defeat, but the way it happened. It’s a tough feeling. There are no excuses. We have to work hard. I think we played a good first half,” Adams said, per One Football.
Next up for Akor Adams and his Sevilla side is a game against Extremadura in the Spanish Copa Del Rey, and they will be hoping to return to winning ways.
