IBADAN – The Osun State Commissioner for Lands and Physical Planning, Hon. George Ibitayo Alabi, has reaffirmed his commitment to the growth of the Accord Party by donating N1.1 million during the party’s general meeting in Ejigbo Local Government Area.
The meeting, held on Friday, July 17, 2026, marked the third consecutive general meeting at which the commissioner donated the same amount to support the party’s activities and the welfare of its members, a gesture widely seen as a demonstration of his commitment to strengthening the party’s grassroots structure.
Addressing party members, Alabi expressed confidence that Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, would secure victory in the forthcoming governorship election. He attributed the anticipated success to the dedication, unity, and collective efforts of party members and supporters across the state.
He urged Accord Party members in Ejigbo Local Government to remain united, focused, and committed to the party’s ideals, stressing the need for intensified grassroots mobilisation, sustained support for party leaders, and active voter engagement ahead of the election.
According to the commissioner, unity, discipline, and dedication remain the foundation of electoral success. He encouraged members to continue promoting peace, harmony, and cooperation within the party while highlighting the achievements of the Adeleke administration to prospective voters.
Alabi also assured party faithful that their loyalty and sacrifices would not go unnoticed, noting that committed members who continue to work for the progress of the party would be duly recognised and rewarded.
He described consistency and dedication as essential qualities of effective political leadership. He further urged members not to be discouraged by what he described as acts of intimidation, including reported gunshots allegedly linked to opposition elements, but to remain steadfast in pursuing the party’s objectives.
He expressed optimism that greater opportunities await members who remain committed to the collective cause. Speaking on behalf of party leaders, the Vice Chairman of the Accord Party in Ejigbo Local Government Area, Hon. Ismail Elewedi, commended Alabi for his consistency and generosity, describing his sustained financial support as a reflection of exemplary leadership and selfless service.
