Amanda Seales revealed that she once went out with Canadian rapper Drake but claims that the only reason she accepted the date was for her fans.
Seales was speaking about President Donald Trump’s inauguration, when she responded to fans asking her why she even bothered watching if she felt so strongly about Trump.
Seales says she acts as a “vessel” for her supporters, and claims that she often puts herself in situations so that she can share the experience with her audience.
Seales used her date with Drizzy as an example. She says that when the “Mob Ties” rapper asked her out, she was not interested in him but said ‘yes’ anyway.
“I didn’t want to go out with Drake, but I knew that it was my responsibility to y’all to take one for the team so that there would be a story because I knew that you would appreciate the story,” she says in the clip, going on to call her actions a level of “martyrdom.”
