Amazon may have accidentally announced its latest Amazon Kindle color edition. The e-commerce giant has abruptly pulled the announcement but it revealed the features and prices of four new Kindle e-readers.
The ‘Colorsoft’ Signature Edition is the first color Kindle from Amazon
Amazon published a blog post that revealed four new e-readers from the company. The press release included the new Kindle Colorsoft, the first Kindle with a full-color display, alongside three more Kindle e-readers.
Amazon’s Spanish blog officially announced these products. However, the reveal must have been premature and a mistake. The tech giant hasn’t made any announcement in English yet. Moreover, Amazon has since redacted the blog post and none of the product links work as intended.

Amazon now redirects visitors to an old blog post that offers instructions on using a Kindle. However, according to the now redacted announcement, the Kindle Colorsoft Signature Edition is “designed to offer a rich and paper-like color” for book covers and highlighted text.
Amazon mentioned that images can be zoomed in “without worrying about pixelation” with both standard and vibrant color styles. “[The Kindle Colorsoft Signature Edition] is waterproof and features fast page turns, wireless charging, up to 8 weeks of battery, and a new light guide with nitride LEDs.”
Alongside the new Amazon Kindle color, there’s the new Kindle Scribe, which is an e-reader as well as a note-taking product. The press release reportedly mentioned the Kindle Scribe has a 300ppi screen with white edges. “It is designed to feel like paper when writing on it using Amazon’s Premium Pencil with a new soft-tip eraser.”
Launch date and prices of new e-readers from Amazon
Based on how Amazon swiftly pulled down the blog post, it appears the company isn’t yet ready to announce its new e-readers. However, the now-deleted press release mentioned the launch date, preorder window as well as prices of the new Kindle e-readers.
According to the announcement, the Colorsoft Signature Edition will cost $279.99. It could ship on October 30th. The Kindle Scribe will cost $399.99. It will be ready for delivery on December 4th, but preorders were to begin this week.
