ANAMBRA: Umeoji becomes first aspirant to purchase APC’s nomination form

Nomination form 2027

A member of the House of Representatives representing Aguata Federal Constituency, Chukwuma Umeoji, has become the first aspirant to purchase the All Progressives Congress (APC) nomination and expression of interest forms for the Anambra 2025 governorship election.

Although Umeoji was not present in person, a representative collected the ₦50 million nomination form on his behalf at the APC National Secretariat in Abuja.

The ruling party confirmed this in a statement released on its official social media handle, announcing that the presentation was conducted by National Organizing Secretary Muhammad Suleiman Argungu, alongside Tasiu Mohammed and Ahmed Wambai Sulaiman, the Directors of Election Management & Organizing.

Umeoji previously contested in the November 6, 2021, Anambra governorship election as the flag bearer of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).

However, just a week before the election, INEC officially recognized Charles Soludo as the APGA candidate, replacing Umeoji.

Frustrated by the decision, Umeoji defected to the APC, where he is now positioning himself as a major contender for the 2025 race.
