Google has released the stable version of the Android 15 OS update. The company has included several bug fixes in the Android 15 update, which also happens to be a “Pixel Feature Drop”.

The stable version of Android 15 is finally rolling out. This update is also called “Pixel Feature Drop” as it offers multiple features for the Google Pixel smartphones.
While the stable version of the update is a major OS upgrade, Google has reportedly included multiple fixes for bugs in the Android operating system that runs on Pixel devices.
Google has published a Support Page for the October 2024 Google Pixel Update. It mentions the latest update is intended for Pixel smartphones starting from the Pixel 6, and going all the way up to the Pixel 9 Pro Fold. The company has indicated that some fixes may be carrier or region-specific.
Based on the support page, it appears Google has attempted to eliminate some concerning behavior of the Pixel smartphones when they are charging, including random reboots. The update also improves the reliability of biometric authentication.
Pixel smartphone users could experience stable wireless connections and smoother UI
The changelog for the Android 15 also mentions the update addresses issues with Bluetooth connectivity. Additionally, apps would now have reliable access to media files if the user has granted the necessary permission.
Google has included a fix for Adaptive Connectivity Services to help improve stability and performance. In other words, Pixel users would now have better network connection stability during an active call.
There’s a fix for an issue with the gray shade in the inner display screen under certain conditions. It appears Google has addressed software issues with display color management.
There are several fixes for User Interface (UI) in the Android 15 update. These include a fix for incorrect Android icons, Assistant launch animation on the lock screen, incoming call notifications, and layouts and animations during transitions.
