OnePlus is officially rolling out the stable Android 15-based OxygenOS 15 update to the first OnePlus Pad in India. The company first debuted the latest Android update to the OnePlus 12 back in October and has since been expanding the rollout to more devices.
The first OnePlus Pad starts getting the stable Android 15-based OxygenOS 15 update in India
It’s worth noting that users in the region don’t need to sign up for the beta to install OxygenOS 15. Since OnePlus is rolling out the update in batches, don’t expect to see this update right away on your OnePlus Pad. If you’re not seeing this update yet, don’t worry. The update with software version OPD2203_15.0.0.301(EX01) will eventually pop up on your device soon.
OnePlus also says that users in North America and Europe should start getting the update starting “next week.” Previously, the company rolled out the stable OxygenOS 15 update to some devices in India. This includes the OnePlus Nord 4, OnePlus Nord CE4 Lite, and the OnePlus Nord CE4 Lite 5G.
Similar to these devices, the OnePlus Pad is also getting a bunch of new features including better animations, and more. We have detailed every feature coming to the first OnePlus tablet with the OxygenOS 15 update below.
The update brings a bunch of handy features to the tablet
For starters, the stable Android 15 update brings two AI-based features, namely the AI Notes and AI Retouch, to the OnePlus Pad. The AI Notes mainly focuses on assisting users with their writeups. The new Format feature lets you organize scattered information into well-organized content to make it appealing and easier to read. Additionally, the Clean up feature removes filler words from voice notes to make sentences more coherent.
On the other hand, the AI Retouch feature is there to enhance your photos. The AI Detail Boost feature enhances the quality of cropped, distant, or low-quality images. Besides, the AI Reflection eraser helps blurred photos regain their sharpness color accuracy, lighting, and more. The stable OxygenOS 15 update also adds ultra animation, and luminous rendering effects to the OnePlus Pad.
The Live Alerts feature is also getting a redesign which optimizes the way you interact with the feature’s capsule on your OnePlus tablet. Moving on, the Floating Window now triggers with new gestures. If you are a fan of Split View, you’ll be able to access the option from the notification drawer and Quick Settings post-update.
The OnePlus Share feature now works with nearby iOS devices too. Besides, the stable OxygenOS 15 update also brings the most anticipated 80% charging limit feature to the first OnePlus Pad. These are just a few examples, you can check the full changelog here.
