Big Brother Naija former housemate Queen Mercy Atang has reacted to the viral video of 2Baba being arrested in the UK following an altercation with his wife, Annie Idibia, also known as Natasha.
Kemi Filani reported in October that reports made rounds that the singer had gotten into an altercation with his then-pregnant wife and had been arrested.
Addressing it, 2baba denied it, claiming that he failed to show up because he had an urgent medical emergency. He thanked the organisers and fans who attended the event and promised to deliver a splendid performance next time.
Videos released online a while ago proved the singer was lying, as 2baba was captured on handcuffs with police guiding him into a vehicle. In another, Natasha was seen coming down from a bus, reminding the singer that she was carrying his child.
Taking to a blog’s comment section, Queen expressed excitement at the news, stating that peace of mind is so beautiful.
While responding to an Instagram user, Queen described Annie as her sister and noted how the actress gave her all to 2baba.
“Aww, peace of mind is so beautiful.
Hey Hun, my sister was in this marriage, remember? As an Akwa Ibom girl, trust me when I say she gave it her all. Xoxo”.
While celebrating Natasha’s birthday last month, he professed his love for her, stating that he doesn’t know how to express the love she has shown him, which is overwhelming. The legendary singer declared that he loves Natasha from the depths of his heart and looks forward to a life with her.
Since going public with Natasha, the legendary singer has shied from publicly declaring his love for her.
Some weeks back, while at a club, 2baba, introduced Natasha as his African Queen.
Recall that on July 25th 2025, the music icon had traditionally wedded Natasha, in a low-key ceremony attended by close family members, including the singer’s parents.
In one of the clips from the ceremony, 2baba and Natasha were captured receiving parental blessings. A man identified as Okagbe noted how the singer has been in several marriages and prayed that his marriage to Natasha would be the last.

While confirming his relationship with her, he said he loves Natasha and wants to marry her. 2baba made it known that she had nothing to do with the breakdown of his marriage to Annie and claimed that he and Annie have an understanding.
