The Janaza (funeral) prayer for Sina Ghami and Abdul Latif Kevin Ayodele, close friends of boxing star Anthony Joshua, has been scheduled for Sunday, January 4, 2026.
The bodies of Ghami and Latif “Latz” Ayodele have been repatriated to the United Kingdom following the fatal road crash in Nigeria.
According to a statement released on Saturday by Boxing King Media, the funeral prayer will begin at 10:00 am at the London Central Mosque, located at 146 Park Road, London NW8 7RG.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with their families and loved ones,” the statement read.
Ghami and Ayodele died in a road accident on Monday, December 29, 2025, along the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway in the Makun area of Ogun State.
The Lexus SUV conveying Anthony Joshua collided with a stationary truck, killing his strength and conditioning coach, Sina Ghami and his personal trainer, Latif “Latz” Ayodele, at the scene. Joshua sustained only minor injuries.
The funeral in London will provide an opportunity for family members, friends and members of the boxing community to pay their final respects.
