The Janaza (funeral) prayer for Sina Ghami and Abdul Latif “Latz” Ayodele, close friends and team members of British-Nigerian boxing champion, Anthony Joshua, has been scheduled for Sunday, January 4, 2026, in London.

According to a statement shared by Boxing King Media, the prayer service will be held at the London Central Mosque, 146 Park Road, London NW8 7RG, and will commence at 10 am.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with their families and loved ones,” the statement read.

The bodies of the late Ghami and Ayodele were repatriated to the United Kingdom following the fatal car crash that occurred in Nigeria late last year.

The duo tragically lost their lives on December 29, 2025, in a crash that occurred along the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway, in the Makun area of Ogun State. They were travelling in a Lexus SUV with Joshua when the vehicle collided with a stationary truck.

Both men, Ghami, Joshua’s strength and conditioning coach, and Ayodele, his personal trainer, were killed on the spot, while Joshua escaped with minor injuries.

The incident sent shockwaves through the boxing world, with tributes pouring in from athletes, fans, and stakeholders across the globe.

The upcoming funeral is expected to attract members of the boxing community and well-wishers, who will gather to pay their final respects.
