The Bauchi State Chapter of the National APC Christian Leaders Forum of Nigeria (NACLFON) has launched a unified grassroots mobilization strategy targeting the 2027 general elections.
At a major strategic meeting over the weekend, the forum resolved to actively pursue a dual mandate: securing the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and electing Dr. Muhammad Abdullahi Abubakar (SAN) as the Governor of Bauchi State under the M.A./FAROUK ticket.
During the event, Bauchi State Coordinator of NACLFON, Apostle Daniel Yusuf Adamu, introduced “Operation Go for 50.”
This national initiative aims to contribute to a nine-million-vote target for President Tinubu. Apostle Adamu explained that the state chapter will run this national mandate simultaneously with its gubernatorial campaign for Dr. Abubakar.
“Achieving these dual objectives demands a structured network capable of reaching communities, activating members, and translating commitments into measurable votes,” Adamu stated.
The three-hour meeting, held at the Amazing Grace Baptist Church in Bauchi, brought together hundreds of members, local government area (LGA) coordinators, and executives. LGA coordinators presented progress reports and set up dedicated committees and budgets to monitor real-time campaign performance across the state.
The forum also welcomed hundreds of new members, which organizers cited as a sign of growing Christian participation in the region’s political landscape.
Notably, the event drew local religious leaders, including a resident pastor and a Catholic youth leader, alongside Muslim observers who attended in a show of interfaith solidarity.
To support its members, the chapter distributed cash empowerment to approximately 70 participants, focusing primarily on tertiary students and women within the Bauchi metropolitan area.
Transportation assistance was also provided to delegates who traveled from distant local government areas.
The meeting concluded with a renewed pledge from all 20 LGA coordinators to strengthen organizational structures ahead of the 2027 polls.
