The All Progressives Congress (APC) has described a timetable and schedule of activities circulating online regarding the party’s nationwide congresses as fake and unauthorised.
APC’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, said the ruling party has not issued any notice or timetable for congresses, nor has any decision been made on the matter.
“The said timetable or schedule of activities is fake and did not emanate from the Party. The Party has not issued any notice or timetable/schedule of activities for congresses, as it has yet to make any decision in that regard.
“A valid notice or schedule of activities for congresses will be communicated through the Party’s official information platforms in due course,” Morka said in a statement.
The APC urged its members, officials, the media, and the general public to disregard the document in circulation.
It stressed that any official communication would come directly from the party’s leadership.
“We urge Party members, officials, the media, and the general public to disregard the said timetable for nationwide congresses,” Morka added.
