APC Wins Ganye Constituency Bye-Election In Adamawa

The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate in the Ganye Constituency bye-election, Misa Musa Jauro, has won the contest to reclaim the seat for his party in the Adamawa State House of Assembly.

Jauro polled a total of 16,923 votes to defeat his closest rival, Buba Muhammad Joda of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who scored 16,794 votes.

Announcing the results just before 5am on Sunday, the Returning Officer, Professor Tukur Ahmed, declared Jauro duly elected at the end of the collation exercise.

The bye-election, held on Saturday, August 16, 2025, followed the death of the former occupant of the seat, APC lawmaker Abdulmalik Musa, last year.

The outcome confirmed pre-election projections of a tight race between the APC and PDP, with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declaring the process concluded.
