Apple might limit Wi-Fi 6E to the iPhone 15 Pro models
Apple might limit Wi-Fi 6E connectivity to the iPhone 15 Pro models.
Based on a purported internal Apple document leaked by @URedditor and other documents seen by MacRumours, the antenna architecture of the Apple iPhone 15 Pro indicates that the faster Wi-Fi 6E standard could be limited to the Pro models. The standard Apple iPhone 15 models might continue to use Wi-Fi 6 standard.
Wi-Fi 6E can access up to seven 160MHz channels to support high-bandwidth use cases. This enables Wi-Fi 6E devices to achieve faster speeds, lower latency and higher capacity. Current Apple devices which support the Wi-Fi 6E standard include the 2022 iPad Pro, Mac mini, and some MacBook Pro models.
Aside from the Wi-Fi 6E standard, the Apple iPhone 15 Pro models are expected to have other exclusive features such as periscope lens (for the Pro Max model), 8GB RAM (for the Pro Max model), higher-speed data transfers with USB-C, curved screen bezels, titanium frame and solid-state buttons.
