Apple TV+ Releases Trailer for Its Thriller Series Liaison

Apple TV+‘s upcoming French and English-language thriller, Liaison, is scheduled to debut on Friday, Feb. 24, and stars Vincent Cassel and Eva Green as a former couple trying to save their relationship. The series, created and written by Virginie Brac (Engrenages), follows two agents tasked with stopping international cyberattacks on Britain while facing the secrets of their past relationship. Described as a contemporary thriller, Liaison combines high-stakes action with political intrigue and a passionate love story. Here is the official synopsis for the show:

Cassel, winner of the Cesar Award, plays the character accused of working with a terrorist group and is now on the run. Green, who won a BAFTA Award, portrays the officer trying to catch him but ends up getting caught in his dangerous situation.

Eva Green is well-known for her role in Casino Royale and other films such as Perfect Sense, Dark Shadows, Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, and Penny Dreadful. She will play Milady de Winter in the French historical epic series, The Three Musketeers: D’Artagnan and The Three Musketeers: Milady. Vincent Cassel, who won a Cesar Award for his role as Jacques Mesrine in the movie Mesrine, will play Athos in the same series. He is also famous for his roles in Ocean’s Twelve and Ocean’s Thirteen, Black Swan, A Dangerous Method, and Westworld.

Liaison is co-produced by Newen Studio-backed companies Ringside Studios and Leonis Productions and is executive produced by Gub Neal (The Fall), Jean-Benoît Gillig (L’Emprise), and others. Stephen Hopkins is the director and also serves as an executive producer. Thierry Frémont, Gérard Lanvin, Bukky Bakray, Peter Mullan, Daniel Francis, Lyna Dubarry, Stanislas Merhar, Irène Jacob, Aziz Dyab, Olivia Popica, Laetitia Eido, and Eriq Ebouaney are among the other talented performers in the series.

The six-episode series will have its global premiere on Friday, Feb. 24, with one new episode released every Friday until Mar. 31 on Apple TV+. The series features conversations in both English and French and is described as a high-pressure, modern thriller.
