The most powerful character in DC’s rankings is no longer who you’d think, Aquaman proves. The DC K.O. tournament event searches for the most capable hero of villain in the DC Universe, who will earn the power of the King Omega and redesign uthe universe to their image. However, the most capable character is not necessarily the most powerful.
As Batman is killed by the Joker and street-level fighters like Harley Quinn and the Joker outlive some of DC’s most powerful heroes, DC K.O.‘s contestants are not less varied than they started. That said, several Justice League heroes have been cementing their status as powerhouses. Superman almost dies to the similarly overpowered Captain Atom, and Wonder Woman claims a close win against Lobo.
Meanwhile, another Justice League hero wipes the floor with his opponent.
Aquaman Can Kill Almost Anyone With Hydrokinesis

In Aquaman #12’s DC K.O. crossover, Arthur Curry and Carter Hall find themselves forced to fight to the death to advance to the next round. But while this battle is more morally difficult than Superman’s and Wonder Woman’s, Aquaman doesn’t struggle to overpower Hawkman. Using his newfound hydrokinesis and the power of the Blue, Aquaman kills Hawkman with a tsunami and then kills him a second time by freezing him and shooting him into the ground from outer space.
Aquaman starts commanding the Blue, the energy of the water, in his own solo series. This primordial power makes Arthur Curry the embodiment of water, just like Swamp Thing commands nature through the Green and Animal Man commands animal life through the Red. Aquaman explains, “Carter may have the power of some god, but unless his heart doesn’t pump blood… then I can make him as still and stagnant as a pond.” Every drop of water and moisture answers to Aquaman.
Normally, it’s Mera who possesses hydrokinesis, though she rarely intervenes in world-threatening battles not involving Atlantis. Aquaman not only possesses an upgraded version of Mera’s signature power, but he’s also willing to use it to become King Omega now. Previously, Aquaman has said that the Blue allows him to sense any word and movement on the planet, and he has suggested he could destroy the Earth if he wanted.

It’s Time DC Accepts Aquaman Is Ridiculously Underrated
Aquaman has always remained in the upper rankings of the Justice League’s most powerful members, but he rarely gets the credit he deserves. DC K.O. already killed an untouchable hero by having the Joker eliminate Batman during the tournament’s first round. This suggests that otherwise invincible Justice League heroes aren’t guaranteed to become King Omega.
Arthur Curry could save the world by himself with the power of the Blue if Darkseid weren’t threatening to destroy all of existence. Now burdened with one of the most important forces in the universe and with the personal duty of outliving less powerful and ethical opponents, Aquaman is facing a high chance of reaching the final ground. Both Superman and Aquaman have the power and the responsibility required to win DC K.O., but Aquaman deserves to outmatch Superman at least once every few decades.
