The Governor of Katsina State, Dikko Umaru Radda has berated those claiming that Nigerian governors are thieves.

He argued that corruption in the country cannot be limited to governors alone.

Speaking during an interview with RFI, which was later shared on Facebook, Radda stated that there are individuals who have never held governorship positions but have stolen huge amount of public funds.

The governor questioned the credibility of some critics, saying not everyone has the moral right to accuse others.

Are governors the only thieves in Nigeria?”

“How many people have been caught with stolen money that does not even equal half of a governor’s earnings?” he asked.

Governor Radda warned against insults and name-calling, stressing that leadership should be treated as a serious issue.

He insisted leaders who fail to be accountable to the people will eventually face God’s judgement.

Leadership is a responsibility. If you don’t answer before people, you will answer before God,” he said.

He added that the real test of governance is ensuring that public funds are used to benefit the people.

On the issue of security, the governor said peace can only return if everyone works together. He called on Nigerians to unite, saying lasting peace requires joint efforts from both the government and the citizens.
