Martin Odegaard was left clutching his ankle after being wiped out by Manchester City star Rodri.
The Arsenal midfielder was lining up for Norway in their Euro 2024 qualifier against Spain when the incident occurred.

Picking up the ball in the penalty area, Odegaard shifted the ball onto his left foot and looked set to let fly with an effort to test Kepa Arrizabalaga.
Unfortunately for him, Rodri’s strong challenge wiped the playmaker out and led to his effort being blocked and cleared away from danger.
Most surprisingly, Norway weren’t even given a penalty for the challenge that left Odegaard in a heap on the floor.
While clutching his ankle, the midfielder did manage to get back to his feet and continued playing as Norway looked to claw back a one-goal deficit in their Euro 2024 qualifier.
The challenge from Rodri on Odegaard is being seen by some Arsenal fans as premeditated as the Premier League title race gets to the business stage.
The Gunners hold an eight-point lead over Man City at the top of the table, albeit having played a game more than Pep Guardiola’s side.

According to some fans on social media, the challenge may have been with that title race in mind, with one supporter saying: “Rodri will try again. This is no coincidence.”
Another fan wrote: “Take Odegaard out this Rodri guy is may be on mission,” while someone else said: “I hope Odegaard crunches Rodri back.”
One more Arsenal fan then wrote: “No way this is a coincidence.”
