Arsenal flop rejects Saudi Arabia approaches, Fabrizio Romano confirms

As far as Arsenal are concerned, the transfer window is over. For Mikel Arteta, his main priority is on planning a training strategy and regime to ensure that the season continues the way it started after the international break.

However, there is one player at the Emirates Stadium whereby the transfer window is still to be explored. I’m talking about Nicolas Pepe, who’s still yet to achieve his move away from the Emirates Stadium despite being completely out of favour under Mikel Arteta. Spending last season out on loan, it doesn’t look like he has a future in North London.

Arsenal star Nicolas Pepe rejects Saudi Arabia approaches says Fabrizio Romano

According to Fabrizio Romano, Nicolas Pepe has recently rejected approaches from Saudi Arabia clubs. Instead, the Ivory Coast winger has his eyes set on Trabzonspor. With the Turkish transfer window open for another week, this allows plenty of time for the club to reach the best conclusion with the player.

As far as Arsenal are concerned, they won’t kick up a fuss when it comes to terms between the two clubs. In fact, Mikel Arteta has even considered terminating Nicolas Pepe’s contract, that’s how much he wants to find him a different club.

For Trabzonspor, they would certainly be getting a great player in Nicolas Pepe. Although his time with Arsenal has been a failure, he is a great winger who possesses great dribbling ability and technical ability. His only issue is the end product, but under the right management, this could be worked on.

Do you think Mikel Arteta will sell Nicolas Pepe?
