At 5, BEETA Arts Festival explores ‘Connected Voices’, Dec 5-7

 “Over the years, we have welcomed 10,000+ attendees with programming from 13 countries. This milestone edition is our most ambitious yet, featuring theatre, film, music, dance, visual arts, literary conversations, policy dialogues, creative workshops, and an unforgettable closing variety show!”

FOR three days, December 5-7, the heart of Abuja will palpitate to the rhythms of theatrical extravaganza, as BEETA Arts Festival runs the course of its  2025 season.

It is the 5th anniversary of the festival in Abuja, and the lead visioner of the project, actress-producer, Bikiya Graham-Douglas, said that the 2025 BAF, plans to paint Abuja in warm colours and swags.

The outline of the festival is as follows:

Friday, 5th December

ARTVOCACY Day | National Assembly Library Conference Hall | 10am-2pm

The festival opens with powerful conversations where religious leaders, policymakers, actresses, and tech innovators gather to explore preventing gender-based violence through storytelling and technology. These high-level panels examine how cultural narratives and digital tools can challenge harmful norms and create safer communities.

Literary Conversation (Virtual) | 4pm

Join author Amaka Azie for an intimate discussion on her YA novel and how fiction helps young people navigate trauma, resilience, and healing. Perfect for teens, parents, educators, and book lovers!

Opening Night Cocktail | Botswana Ambassador’s Residence | 6pm

Gather with diplomats, cultural leaders, artists, and investors to launch this anniversary celebration in style. (Invitation Only)

Saturday, 6th December | Abuja Continental Hotel

Saturday transforms the Abuja Continental Hotel into a creative powerhouse buzzing with activity from morning through night!

A groundbreaking UNDP X NJFP employment initiative connecting creative professionals with industry employers:

Literary Conversations | 11am-2pm

In collaboration with Paperworth Books Limited, dive into intimate author sessions with Ndidi Chiazor Enenwor and Zainab Uche Imam, exploring African identity through travel narratives and urban storytelling.
