Atiku Pays Tribute To Fallen And Serving Soldiers On Armed Forces Remembrance Day

Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, has praised the courage, sacrifice, and commitment of fallen soldiers and serving members of the Nigerian Armed Forces, towards the country’s unity and security.

Naijaonpoint reports that Atiku, in a post on Thursday via his 𝕏 handle, said he and his family joined millions of Nigerians in solemn remembrance of military personnel who lost their lives in the line of duty.

The former presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) also honoured troops who made the supreme sacrifice in defence of the nation and commended those currently serving across the country.

Atiku noted that the selflessness and resilience of members of the Armed Forces remained a constant reminder that Nigeria’s freedoms were secured through their devotion and patriotism.

He wrote, “Today, my family and I join millions of Nigerians in solemn remembrance and deep gratitude to the brave men and women of our Armed Forces.

“We honour those who paid the supreme sacrifice in defence of our nation, and we salute those who continue to serve with courage, discipline, and an unwavering commitment to the safety and unity of our country. Their selflessness, resilience, and patriotism stand as a constant reminder that our freedoms are secured by their devotion.

“We say thank you for your service, and your sacrifice.”
