Aubrey O’Day is pushing back after facing criticism for her comments about Sean “Diddy” Combs in Netflix’s recent docuseries Sean Combs: The Reckoning.

O’Day addressed claims that she is “in denial” about an alleged sexual assault involving Diddy, responding directly to a post on X that questioned her credibility.

“I’m not in denial,” O’Day wrote. “I’m just really responsible with the law and my truth, and I am not willing to take advantage of moments and lean into narratives that would take away any human’s freedom for my own profit.”

O’Day, 41, rose to fame as a member of Danity Kane, which was formed on Making the Band under Diddy’s leadership.

In the documentary, O’Day revealed she has no memory of an alleged assault described in an affidavit submitted during recent civil lawsuits against the disgraced music mogul. She acknowledged the emotional toll of revisiting the allegations, saying the statute of limitations prevents her from pursuing legal action..

O’Day also clarified that while she does not recall the incident, she believes Diddy is “guilty of charges that the jury did not convict him of” and said there were additional experiences that could not be included in the film. “The patterns and collateral damage run too deep,” she added.

Diddy is currently incarcerated on prostitution related charges but has denied all allegations. He is currently trying to appeal his 50-month prison sentence. Recently, President Trump shot down any hopes for a presidential pardon.
