AY and I had issues for a long time but we didnt exchange punches Basketmouth slams Mr Jollof and Ve

Nigerian comedian Basketmouth has reacted to the messy fight between his colleague, Mr Jollof and activist, Very Dark Man.

Kemi Filani reported that the two had engaged in a physical fight onboard a commercial flight, reportedly travelling from Asaba, Delta State, to Lagos. The two were captured in a viral video trading blows inside the United Nigeria Airlines flight.

In a video captured online, Basketmouth noted how he and Ayo Makun had issues for a long time, but they never exchanged punches. He questioned how things had got so bad and why we couldn’t live in love.

He noted how tight a plane is, yet VDM and Jollof still found a space to fight. Basketmouth described their action as embarrassing.

“AY and I had issues for a very long time, but we never exchanged punches. How did we get here? Why can’t we live in love? As tight as a plane is, Mr Jollof and VDM still found a space to fight. This is embarrassing”.

Recall that for years, Ayo Makun and Basketmouth weren’t on good terms over an alleged debt.

AY, in an interview with Chude Jideonwo, claimed that their beef originated over N30,000 debt, which Basketmouth refused to pay him, and as such the comedian struck his name from some events. Basketmouth, however, shut down his claims, as he stated that he and AY have never been friends.

In another interview with Teju Babyface, AY spoke on his failed attempt to reconcile with Basketmouth and Julius Agwu. The box office King revealed that he was done making efforts towards making peace with them, and declared that if he goes to his grave without reconciling with them, he would be happy as he knows he tried his best.

In October, Basketmouth surprised many as he tendered a deep apology to AY, and called for them to live in peace and harmony. He also apologized to anyone in the industry who had been offended over time knowingly or unknowingly by his actions.

Accepting his apology , AY had celebrated him in his birthday. AY described him as the Eze Gburugburu 1, as he hoped that he had a fantastic birthday. Basketmouth replied appreciating him for the message writing.
