Nigerian comedian, Bright Okpocha popularly known as Basketmouth has reacted to the clash between VeryDarkMan and Mr Jollof.
Naijaonpoint recalls that the fight took place inside a United Nigerian aircraft and later led to their detention by the Delta State Police Command on Monday, November 17, 2025.
Basketmouth shared his reaction in a video posted on Instagram, addressing the conduct of both men.
In his message, he spoke about how shocking it was to see two adults engage in a physical fight in such a tight public space.
He said that even during his long-running issue with AY Makun, their disagreement never reached the point of throwing punches.
The comedian said the scene was embarrassing and called on people to choose peace and self-control, especially in public places.
Basketmouth wrote: “Like everybody else, I just saw the video of Mr Jollof and VDM fighting in a public space, not just any public place, but inside a plane. As plane tight reach, these grown men still find space dey fight. And I asked myself, how did we get here?
“Me and AY get issues for the long time, but it never got to the point that me and him go start to exchange punches. How embarrassing is this? Why can’t we just live in love and peace?”
The fight followed a period of rising tension between the two men. Their issues became worse after VeryDarkMan accused Mr Jollof’s wife of improper dealings with politicians and internet fraudsters to support her husband’s political ambition in Delta State.
The allegation deepened the hostility and eventually led to the fight that ended with their arrest.
