Balenciaga is suing a French company that supposedly managed the BDSM-themed campaign which featured toddlers and children.

Here is everything you need to know.

Balenciaga is suing the production company for $25 million

It appears like Balenciaga is using a scapegoat following the controversial ad campaign backlash.

A source related to the photo shoot scandal gave inside details regarding the luxury brand’s latest move.

Moreover, they said that the production company i.e North Six has teamed up with Balenciaga in the past. However, they allegedly have no creative power in the controversial campaign.

In addition, the source claimed that the employees of the agency only oversaw the logistics department such as crew, equipment, and locations.

Besides that, TMZ reported that the production house allegedly had nothing to do with the set design for the photoshoot.

If you didn’t know, the shoot was a part of the Balenciaga-Adidas ad collaboration. It reportedly included documents from the Supreme Court ruling on child pornography.

Meanwhile, it is said that the staff members of North Six were also not present during the final staging. However, the company hired a third-party set designer, Nicholas Des Jardins who attended the shoot.

Jardins has also been listed as a defendant in the lawsuit. However, it remains unclear whether the Spanish luxury brand will directly blame him for setting the legal documents without their permission in the shoot.

Moreover, a different source is claiming that Balenciaga is criticizing different parties such as North Six to deflect the backlash they are continuing to face.

Kim Kardashian’s slams controversial photo campaign of Balenciaga

Furthermore, the mother of four revealed that she is re-evaluating her ties with the luxury label house.

For the unversed, the Keeping Up with the Kardashians alum has been a brand ambassador of Balenciaga since February 2022.

She further shared a lengthy post on her Twitter handle to address the scandal.

One of her tweets read, ‘The safety of children must be held with the highest regard. Any attempts to normalize child abuse of any kind should have no place in our society — period.’

The Skims founder also explained why she has been keeping her silence over the issue for the past couple of days.

Balenciaga recently came under fire for a photo shoot where toddlers are seen holding BDSM-style bondage handbags.
