Xbox Game Pass members will have a great day on October 15, with a new day-one release set to arrive for certain tiers. The subscription service has just undergone a series of changes, with the implementation of tiers. Even with the new tiers and price changes to Xbox Game Pass, there are still new games being added to the catalog periodically, while others are removed.
On October 15, three new games are being added to the catalog, according to the official post on Xbox Wire. One of them is Ball x Pit, a new survival game developed by Kenny Sun and published by Devolver Digital. As seen in Xbox’s official announcement, Ball x Pit will be a day-one addition to the subscription service, meaning that players will be able to download and play it as soon as it’s released.

The Game Can Be Played On Consoles, PC, & Cloud
Ball x Pit will be released on Xbox Game Pass for the Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass tiers. This means that if you are a member of the Essential or Premium tiers within the subscription service, you won’t be able to play it unless you upgrade your plan. With it, Ball x Pit will be playable on consoles, PC, and cloud.
Because the game is being added to the service now, it’s unlikely it will be removed soon. With its addition to Xbox Game Pass in October, it should stay available in the catalog for a few months, if not a full year, before its removal. Even so, I do recommend that you play this day-one release, as you’ll likely be in for a lot of fun.
Ball x Pit Is A Promising Roguelite Survival Game
The Indie Game Has Brick-Breaking Mechanics
As was mentioned, Ball x Pit is a survival game, but it does have some twists. It features roguelite elements, and its gameplay, aside from base-building, includes brick-breaking. Your goal will be to encounter spheres, fuse them, and fight enemy hordes who are trying to destroy your base. Meanwhile, you’ll also have to survive the attacks.
By defeating enemies, you’ll gather resources that will allow you to upgrade your defenses and the characters responsible for your base’s survival. The brick-breaking system should have a lot of depth, as you’ll be able to unlock different varieties of balls to attack enemies with.
Ball x Pit is promising to be a great roguelite on the service, as it seems to offer an enticing gameplay loop that will constantly have you improving your abilities and, fundamentally, changing gameplay itself, according to your likes and needs. It’s one of the many remarkable additions to Xbox Game Pass this month, which will later see titles like Keeper and Ninja Gaiden 4.
