Bandits Kidnap 40 Worshippers During Morning Prayers In Zamfara

Armed men on Monday morning kidnapped at least 40 worshippers from a mosque in Gidan Turbe village, Tsafe Local Government Area of Zamfara State.

Naijaonpoint reports that the attack occurred during early morning prayers at about 5:30 a.m., when the gunmen surrounded the mosque and forced the worshippers out at gunpoint.

Zagazola Makama, a security publication focused on the Lake Chad region, said after the abduction, the captives were taken into nearby forests around the Gohori axis.

The incident has created fear and uncertainty in the community.

The police is yet to confirm the incident as at the time of filing this report.

In other news, gospel Singer, Femi Solar, has revealed that his home was raided by armed robbers on Friday night.

Naijaonpoint reports that the attack led to the loss of several personal belongings, including phones, gadgets, wristwatches, jewellery, foreign currency, and other valuables.

The 41-year-old Apala gospel musician, who shared details of the incident on Instagram, urged people not to respond to calls or messages that may come from his stolen devices.

He explained that he can only be reached on a temporary line until the issue is resolved.

Solar, best known for songs such as Emi Ni and Oniduro Mi, assured fans that he and his family were safe after the incident.
