Grace Alheri Elisha has shared a harrowing account of how armed bandits abducted her father, revealing the terrifying moments that unfolded when the attackers arrived at their home.
Speaking on the Lucky Udu Experience Podcast, Elisha recounted the ordeal, describing the tense situation as the kidnappers approached the family compound and forced their way in. Watch What Really Happened.
According to her, the attackers appeared to be very young and showed little concern for her father’s fragile health. She said the group consisted of teenagers who were determined to carry out the abduction despite the obvious vulnerability of their victim.
“They were small boys, about 17 or 18 years old. My dad is sick and cannot walk, so when they got to the gate, one of them said he would delay them and that one of them should shoot him,” she revealed.
Elisha explained that the incident left the family terrified, particularly because her father was unable to move without assistance. She added that the bandits were armed and aggressive, creating panic in the household as they attempted to execute their plan.
Her account highlights growing concerns about the involvement of teenagers in banditry across parts of northern Nigeria, where kidnapping for ransom continues to threaten communities and families.
The emotional recollection also underscores the trauma endured by victims’ families during such attacks, especially when vulnerable individuals such as the elderly or sick are targeted.
Kidnapping incidents remain a major security challenge in several regions of the country, with families often forced into desperate situations while trying to secure the release of loved ones.
