Spanish LaLiga champions Barcelona have been linked with Super Eagles star Ademola Lookman in recent weeks, but they might end up signing someone else, Soccernet.ng reports.
In recent months, Lookman, who is expected to leave Bergamo this summer has been linked with a number of clubs.
The Super Eagles star has been linked with Arsenal, Manchester United, and Atletico Madrid, but nothing concrete has happened yet.
Barcelona have also been in the mix, as recent reports indicate that Hansi Flick has tendered Lookman’s name to the club as a potential option for the left wing.

However, the Blaugrana appear to now be looking at other options. According to Monfort Carlos, per Onze, Barcelona held talks with Williams’ agent over a possible deal for Williams this summer, but nothing is agreed yet.
Williams is Lamine Yamal’s close friend, and they always show a strong rapport in the Spanish national team. The 22-year-old winger, who turns 23 in July, contributed 11 goals and seven assists in 45 games for Athletic Bilbao last season.
Every single time Lamine Yamal had the opportunity to speak to Nico Williams in the recent months, he has been insisting him to play together at Barcelona.

Barcelona tried to get Williams last summer, but the transfer failed.
But this summer, the Spanish champions are determined to get a left winger. There were talks about a potential move for Luis Diaz, but Liverpool are unwilling to sell. As such, Barcelona are exploring their other options.
Can Ademola Lookman’s transfer to Barcelona still work?
Despite the links between Barcelona and Ademola Lookman, both parties are yet to make contact.

However, the Spanish giants are yet to agree on a deal with their other options. So a move for Lookman cannot be ruled out just yet.
Still, if the move does not happen, Lookman gas been linked with Serie A giants Juventus, and English Premier League club Arsenal.
Lookman has contributed 52 goals and 25 assists in 118 appearances for Atalanta over the past three seasons.
He will have to make a decision on his future in the coming weeks.
