New Jersey battle rapper Arsonal Da Rebel hopped online to call Drake out for suing UMG following his rap battle loss to Compton rapper Kendrick Lamar.
Arsonal retweeted a clip of Drake saying that he studies rap battles for a living and captioned the video, “N*GGA PLEASE U Ratatouille,” he wrote. “U AINT GOT DAT WARRIOR IN YA BLOOD.”

In a separate tweet, Arsonal wrote, “IN A RAP BATTLE U CAN SAY WATEVA U WANT…… POINT BLANK PERIOD U DNT SUE A N*GGA CAUSE HE HURT YA FEELINGS N CALLED U SOMETHING WEATHER ITS TRU OR NOT….. IF U COULDNT HANDLE THE LYRICS WHY ENTER THE BATTLE? ILL TELL YALL WHY HE THOUGHT HE WAS UNBEATABLE!! (we all lose sometimes)”
Drake is suing UMG, accusing them of trying to devalue his worth ahead of contract negotiations and defaming his reputation.
UMG responded, calling his lawsuit “illogical” and “frivolous.”
“Throughout his career, Drake has intentionally and successfully used UMG to distribute his music and poetry to engage in conventionally outrageous back-and-forth ‘rap battles’ to express his feelings about other artists. He now seeks to weaponize the legal process to silence an artist’s creative expression and to seek damages from UMG for distributing that artist’s music,” the statement reads in part.
