Ben Foster helped Wrexham to another win on Saturday, but his previous Saturday couldn’t have been any more different.
The former Manchester United goalkeeper came out of retirement to sign for the National League side until the end of the season.

It is his second stint at Wrexham, having played for them on loan from Stoke in 2005.
Following his return to the Welsh side, Foster revealed just how different his previous Saturday was before he put the gloves back on.
“A week ago today it was Gold Cup Friday at Cheltenham, and we had an all-dayer,” he said in a video on the Rob Ryan Red Podcast TikTok account.
“I was the most hungover man in the world last Saturday, so this is a massive contrast to what that was last week.”
Foster enjoyed a successful comeback in between the sticks as he kept a clean sheet during Wrexham’s 3-0 win over York City.
It was his first game since May, having last played for Watford in the Premier League last season.

Foster was even offered the chance to sign for Newcastle, but he told NaijaOnPoint he has ‘no regrets’ at turning the opportunity down.
The 39-year-old’s focus will now be set on Wrexham’s hopes of gaining promotion to League Two.
They are currently top of the National League by three points and have a game in hand over Notts County in second.
Foster is a goalkeeper who has played for England and has three League Cup trophies to his name.
He is taking on a very different challenge now though, and his experience could be enough to help Wrexham over the line.
