According To NewsVista Reporter, televangelist Benny Hinn has urged Christians to break free from what he calls “bondage to pastors and religious people,” stressing the importance of embracing the spiritual freedom available in Christ.
In a recent online sermon, Hinn referenced Galatians, reminding believers that spiritual maturity means recognizing their identity as heirs in Christ rather than living under fear or control. “Now I say, that the heir, as long as he is a child, differs nothing from a servant. It’s time to grow up. It’s time to know who you are in the Lord,” he said.
Hinn expressed concern over what he described as a “religious spirit” that enforces legalism, dictates how people worship, and controls their lives. He warned that such influence contradicts the liberty Christ offers and likened it to the restrictive practices of the Pharisees in the New Testament.
He encouraged believers feeling spiritually constrained to seek prayer, deliverance, and stand firm in their freedom in Christ. “Jesus gives us freedom. We are free in the Lord,” Hinn concluded.
